The city of Aden experienced violent explosions on Friday evening, causing massive fires and widespread panic among residents, local sources reported.
According to local sources, the first explosion occurred at a gas filling station in the Hashid neighborhood on 90th Street in the Mansoura district.
This was followed by a more powerful explosion of a nearby gas tanker, resulting in a large fireball.
The initial explosion has resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to 13 others. Several vehicles were burned at the site.
The sources explained that the delay of fire trucks to control the fire helped in the expansion of the fire, which threatens to explode the main tank of the station and cause a disaster for the residents.
