The capital, Sana’a, and other Yemeni provinces witnessed on Friday afternoon massive rallies in solidarity with the Palestinian people, under the slogan “Loyalty to the Blood of the Martyrs… With Gaza Until Victory”.
In a statement delivered by Dhaifallah al-Shami, the Minister of Information in the caretaker government in the capital Sana’a, it was affirmed that the weekly popular demonstrations will continue, reflecting a deep faith in God, a commitment to Islam, and a strong sense of religious, moral, and humanitarian duty. These marches underscore the Yemeni people’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and their absolute backing of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
The statement highlighted that the massive turnout at the march signifies clear and explicit support for forthcoming actions and responses by the leaders of the jihad and resistance axis against Israeli crimes. It also demonstrated loyalty to the oppressed Palestinian people.
Al-Shami extended condolences to the Arab and Islamic nations, and particularly to the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and their resistance movements, for the martyrdom of two prominent leaders who symbolize the nation’s pride and honor. These leaders are Ismail Abdul Salam Haniyeh, a distinguished figure who was assassinated by Zionist forces during his visit to the Islamic Republic, and Sayyed Fouad Shukr, a revered leader who fought against American and Zionist oppression for decades and served as a role model for generations of Mahideens/fighters.
He emphasized that the assassinations of Haniyeh and Shukr were brutal acts carried out by Netanyahu, who drew inspiration from the “Great Satan,” America. He prayed for their souls and all righteous martyrs to attain high status and honor.
He declared, “To the cursed Zionist enemy, as stated by the prophets and in the Holy Book of God: know that assassinating resistance leaders will not save you from your inevitable downfall. Reflect on past assassinations of resistance leaders; did they weaken the resistance or make it stronger, smarter, and more resolute? These leaders embraced jihad and martyrdom willingly, and their sacrifices will continue to inspire and strengthen the path of jihad, leading to even greater achievements.”
The statement noted that the Israeli enemy’s reliance on assassinations is a desperate attempt to avoid defeat by the Mujahideen in Gaza and to restore its lost deterrence and prestige following the setbacks since October 7. It highlighted that Israel has recognized the collapse of its deterrence and prestige in Gaza and warned that the era of unchallenged Israeli aggression is over. The age of al-Quds axis, jihad, and resistance has begun, and Israel will face significant consequences for every crime or misstep it makes.
He continued, “To the Arab and Islamic nations: the Israeli enemy is proving with its brutal crimes that it embodies pure evil and poses a threat to the entire region. The only way to confront this danger is through action and fighting for the sake of God; otherwise, no one will be safe from its aggression, not even those who believe themselves secure from its violence.”
The statement continued, “We urge the mujahideen of the Yemeni armed forces and all fronts of the axis of jihad and resistance to prepare for a dignified response. With God’s power and support, this response will humiliate the infidels and hypocrites, soothe the hearts of the faithful, and dispel any illusions of power held by the Israeli enemy. Confidence in victory remains unwavering, as it is a promise from the Sovereign of the heavens and the earth, who never breaks His word. The outcome is in God’s hands.”
The statement also emphasized the Yemeni people’s unwavering, principled commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause until the aggression ends and the Gaza siege is lifted. This support will continue through military operations, official and popular events, mobilization, boycotts, and donations, without fatigue or hesitation.
In honor of the late leader Ismail Haniyeh and in response to his call, the statement urged organizing activities and rallies in support of Palestinian prisoners and the Palestinian people on Saturday, across the capital and various governorates.
