A meeting was held on Saturday in the capital Sana’a, chaired by Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din, to address the urgent priorities of the Ministry of Information and its affiliated media institutions.
The meeting aimed to enhance government performance and public services through a focused and strategic approach.
Key participants included Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti, Undersecretaries Yahya Hamid and Hussein Muqbil, and leaders from official media institutions.
The meeting reviewed the ministry’s plans and set out immediate priorities and implementation mechanisms.
A committee, led by the Deputy Minister and comprising institutional leaders, was formed to streamline and finalize these plans into a unified proposal for submission to the Council of Ministers.
Minister Sharaf al-Din highlighted the need to consolidate faith identity, address soft war challenges, and optimize media performance for greater national impact.
He emphasized the need for a balanced and effective media strategy, including legislation updates, comprehensive assessments, and skill development for media personnel.
The Deputy Minister stressed overcoming weaknesses and creating engaging, innovative media content to better connect with the public.
Undersecretaries and media leaders presented their strategies for modernizing the media system, consolidating faith-based identity, and countering soft war tactics.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to enhance media cooperation, improve public messaging, and ensure media work is both purposeful and effective.
