Russia reiterated its condemnation of the US-British actions against Yemen, declaring that these actions represent a breach of international law.

Dmitry Polyanskiy, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, asserted that the airstrikes conducted by the US and Britain on Yemen violate international law and are likely to result in increased tensions and unpredictable outcomes.

He connected the situation in Yemen with the Israeli attacks on Gaza, proposing that stopping the operations in Yemen would depend on ending the aggression against Gaza.

Regarding the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea, the Russian representative indicated that the Houthi forces’ actions are a response to the intense frustration in the region caused by Israeli policies that aim to eliminate Gaza.

He emphasized that tensions in the Red Sea would not subside without stopping the war in Gaza.

Polyanskiy elaborated that the UN Security Council’s failure to address the situation in Gaza has intensified frustration among the Arab populace, resulting in greater support for the Houthis.

He noted that the Security Council has failed to halt the conflict in Gaza due to the US’s support for Israel.

On Thursday, The US-British aircraft resumed their airstrikes on Hodeida Governorate. An official source reported that the coalition conducted a strike on the As-Salif District.
