A prominent leader in the UAE-funded forces survived an assassination attempt with an explosive device on Saturday in Lahj province, southern Yemen.
Informed sources said, “Unidentified gunmen targeted the commander of the security campaign in Ras Al-Ara, Sultan Bajash Al-Atri Al-Subaihi, by detonating an explosive device while he was driving in his car with his family in the Al-Fayyoush area, which is controlled by the security belt.”
The sources added that Al-Subaihi was injured when his car exploded in the middle of Al-Fyoush Market and a fire broke out in it.
