Al-Thawra Press Foundation mourns the passing of the great journalist Hassan Abdel-Warith

The colleague and great journalist, Hassan Abdul Warith, editor-in-chief of Al-Wahda newspaper issued by the Al-thawra Foundation for Press, Printing and Publishing, passed away yesterday evening in a hospital in the capital, Sana’a, after suffering a health problem.

A few days ago, journalist Abdul Warith suffered a heart attack, after which he was rushed to a hospital in Sana’a, before being transferred to Al-Thawra Hospital, where he passed away.

The colleague Abdul Warith is a distinguished media professional and a unique journalist who has had many tours and rounds  in the political and cultural work in the Yemeni arena.

The deceased was born in Aden in 1962, studied philosophy and sociology, then journalism, and worked in several newspapers and magazines since 1977, the last of which was editor-in-chief of Al-Wahda newspaper issued by the Al-Thawra  Foundation for Press, Printing and Publishing in Sana’a since 2004. He has several publications in journalism, politics and literature.

With this great loss, the leadership and staff of the Al-Thawra Foundation for Press, Printing and Publishing extend their sincere condolences and sympathy to his family members and all his readers and fans. We ask God Almighty to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness on the deceased.
