The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has risen to 31, including three children and seven women, Minister of Health in the Lebanese caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, announced Saturday.

In a press conference today, Al-Abyad confirmed that there were 68 wounded, stressing that the Israeli attacks on Lebanon are a described war crime.

In turn, the Lebanese Minister of Works, Ali Hamiyah, confirmed that this toll is still subject to further increase in light of the continuing rescue operations, the removal of rubble, and the presence of more than 20 missing people.

For his part, the Lebanese Minister of the Interior, Bassam Al-Mawlawi, confirmed that “the recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon push us to intensify information and field efforts.”

He said in a press conference following an extraordinary meeting of the Central Security Council in Lebanon, “We discussed the investigations related to the bombings that affected Lebanon, and we stressed the necessity of monitoring the movement of cameras and how the security services behave.”

Al-Mawlawi added that the Central Internal Security Council will remain in an open meeting to continue investigations and keep abreast of developments.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon—Hezbollah—had martyred 16 martyrs in its ranks, including the great jihadist leader, Ibrahim Muhammad Aqeel, and Commander Ahmed Mahmoud Wehbe.

The total number of deaths in the Zionist aggression in the southern suburbs and the pager and radio bombings reached 70, according to what the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced.
