Twenty people were killed and 300 others were injured in Lebanon on Wednesday evening, due to the explosion of wireless communication devices in several Lebanese regions, a day after explosions and widespread attacks via “pager” communication devices that targeted thousands of members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
Lebanese media quoted the Lebanese Ministry of Health as saying: Twenty people were killed and 300 others were injured as a result of the new explosions that targeted wireless devices.
The Lebanese Red Cross reported that its crews responded with 30 ambulance teams to the multiple explosions in different regions, including southern Lebanon and the Bekaa.
Lebanese media reported that several explosions in wireless communication devices occurred in the southern suburbs and sites in the Bekaa in Lebanon.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that three martyrs fell as a result of the devices’ explosion in the town of Sahmar in the Lebanese Bekaa.
Fires broke out in a number of residential apartments, vehicles and motorcycles as a result of the explosion of wireless communication devices in different regions of Lebanon.
Several injuries were transferred from the southern suburb and other areas in Lebanon after the devices exploded.
