Rescue teams recover 27 bodies of flood victims in Wusab Al-Safil, Dhamar

Rescue teams in Wusab Al-Safil district, Dhamar, recovered 27 bodies and eight injured individuals, while the search continues for three missing persons due to severe flooding caused by heavy rains that hit the district on Friday evening.

According to the sources, heavy rainfall led to the total or partial demolition of 23 homes, caused damage to several other houses, and swept away four vehicles, two motorcycles, and two commercial stores.

The damage occurred in hit the Bani Musa and Wadi Al-Khashab areas in Wusab Al-Safil.

Rescue operations have been ongoing since Friday evening, with relief teams searching for survivors and injured individuals being transported to Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeidah for treatment.

Local authorities in Dhamar Governorate have declared Bani Musa and Wadi Al-Khashab areas as disaster zones and called for urgent intervention to find survivors and recover the victims.
