The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) described last week in the West Bank since November 2023 as the “deadliest” for Palestinian civilians.
The UN agency said in a post on platform X last night, “As the war in Gaza continues, violence and destruction in the West Bank are increasing every hour, and this is unacceptable and must stop now.”
“Last week was the deadliest for Palestinian civilians in the West Bank since last November, with many people killed, including seven children.”
The escalation of military operations of the Israeli occupation army in the West Bank, resulting in the death of 691 citizens, the injury of about five thousand and 700, and the arrest of more than ten thousand and 400, according to official Palestinian institutions.
In the context of this escalation, the occupation army began, on August 28, the “widest” aggression on the northern West Bank since 2002, which resulted in the death of 39 citizens, the injury of 150 others, and the arrest of dozens, according to official Palestinian figures.
