Russia has announced its rejection of the ongoing raids carried out by the US and Britain on Yemen and called for international pressure to stop them.
Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said in a speech before the Security Council that Russia calls for equal pressure on the members of the so-called coalition led by the United States and the United Kingdom who continue to randomly attack Yemeni territory on a weekly basis.
He added that the US and British attacks constitute an unacceptable violation of international law.
He stressed the importance of continuing active political and diplomatic work with Yemeni political forces, in addition to strengthening recent achievements in resolving internal Yemeni contradictions in the economic field.
He also stressed the need for further progressive action towards completing the roadmap for the political process in the country.
