UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday expressed shock at the high levels of killing, injury, and destruction in northern Gaza, where Israeli forces are reportedly targeting Hamas to prevent their regrouping.
He described the suffering of Palestinian civilians trapped in the area as unbearable, with civilians trapped under rubble, sick and wounded deprived of life-saving medical care, and families without food and shelter.
