A violent explosion rocked the occupied city of Mokha in Taiz governorate on Tuesday evening, caused by a gas tanker explosion at a gas station adjacent to Al-Zahraa School.
The explosion caused a huge fire at the site, amidst a state of panic and fear among residents.
Local sources confirmed the absence of civil defense teams and fire engines from the scene of the accident, which increased the danger of the situation and hindered efforts to control the fire.
The sources warned of the possibility of other explosions in the remaining gas tanks, which could lead to a human disaster in the area.
