Annual Martyr’s Commemoration activities launched in Hodeidah

The annual Martyr’s Commemoration activities were officially launched in Hodeida province on Saturday, marking the beginning of a series of events dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of Yemen’s martyrs.

The ceremony, held at the Martyr Leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi Hall, and it was attended by high-ranking officials, including Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din.

In his speech, the minister underscored the importance of this occasion in remembering those who gave their lives in defense of Yemen’s sovereignty.

Minister Sharaf al-Din praised the steadfastness and sacrifices of the martyrs, emphasizing their crucial role in defending the homeland, faith, and freedom.

“This land has been nourished by the blood of our martyrs, and their courage remains a beacon of dignity for the Yemeni people,” he said, highlighting how their sacrifices had strengthened the nation’s resistance and perseverance in the face of external aggression.

In his remarks, Sharaf al-Din also reiterated Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine, stressing the nation’s commitment to the struggle for justice despite external pressures.

He reaffirmed that the Yemeni people, particularly in places like Hodeida, would continue to fight for freedom and independence, undeterred by the ongoing foreign military intervention.

The launch ceremony also featured speeches by Hodeida’s First Undersecretary, Ahmed al-Bishri, who called the commemoration as a vital moment to reflect on the heroism of the martyrs and draw inspiration from their legacy.

He stressed that the path to victory and national dignity lies in continuing the struggle for sovereignty, as demonstrated by the sacrifices of the martyrs.

Additional speeches from scholars and the families of martyrs underscored the collective commitment to supporting the families of martyrs and continuing the fight for Yemen’s freedom.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of jihad, selflessness, and national pride in the face of ongoing challenges.
