Armed men stormed Shibam Security Department building in Hadramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.
Sources said that gunmen from the Al Katheer tribe stormed the Shibam Security Department in Hadramaut Valley and prevented its director, Mohammed Ghallab, from entering after the governorate’s security director refused to appoint their relative in his place.
They added that Ghallab brought reinforcements from the First Military Region loyal to the Islah Party in Seiyun, and clashes erupted between the two parties, leaving wounded.
Sources also noted that the gunmen seized weapons and a security department vehicles , and that the clashes are still ongoing.
