Armed men from the Transitional Militia affiliated with the UAE stormed “Bir Ahmed Prison” in the occupied city of Aden.
Informed sources in the city reported that the leader Mohsen Al-Wali – who is the “commander of the “Security Belt” militias funded by the UAE – stormed the Bir Ahmed prison and appointed a new director for the prison.
They indicated that Al-Wali imposed one of his close associates named “Timour Jawad” to manage the prison, which has been holding hundreds of abductees and forcibly disappeared since 2016.
The sources explained that Al-Aqrabi was transferred to the Al-Shaab camp, which the “Security Belt” militias use as their headquarters, indicating that Al-Aqrabi rejected previous offers to send him to Egypt for a walk, but he rejected those offers.
The storming incident sparked a state of resentment among members of other Emirati militias, amid accusations that the militia leaders are about to carry out widespread liquidations against a number of detainees inside the prison.
