Amid the escalation of Israeli aggression in Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday, Tuesday, the martyrdom of at least 20 people in an Israeli raid that targeted a building in the coastal town of Barja, located more than 20 kilometers south of Beirut.
The ministry said in a statement that the preliminary death toll from the Israeli raid on Barja has risen to 20 martyrs and 14 wounded, adding that “rescue operations and removing rubble are still ongoing.”
Smoke continued to rise from the building on Tuesday evening at the site of the bombing, while many families fled the site.
Earlier, an aggression raid that targeted another residential building in the town of Jiyeh near Barja resulted in the death of one person, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The Lebanese government said yesterday, Tuesday, that Israeli attacks on Lebanon have killed at least 3,013 people and injured 13,553 others since October 2023.
