The Presidium of the Shura Council, which met on Wednesday under the Shura Council Speaker Mohammed Hussein Al Aidarous, reviewed the latest developments on the national scene, as a result of Yemen’s support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
At the beginning of the meeting, which began with the reading of Fatiha for the soul of the late Abdullah Mansour Al-Sharif, a member of the Council, the two operations of the Yemeni armed forces that targeted the US aircraft carrier “Abraham” in the Arabian Sea and two US destroyers in the Red Sea.
The Commission praised the high vigilance of the Yemeni army in its various combat and intelligence formations, which, thanks to God and the revolutionary leadership’s directives and the Supreme Political Council, was able to thwart the attack that the American destroyer was preparing on Yemeni territory.
The commission stressed that the operations of the Yemeni armed forces come within the framework of the legitimate right of the Republic of Yemen to self-defense against all those who seek to harm the capabilities of the people and the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen.
It warned the US, British and Zionist enemies not to commit any follies by targeting Yemen and not to underestimate the warnings of the Yemeni Armed Forces, especially since they have the deterrent capabilities that enable them to counter any hostile threats.
The Presidium of the Shura Council held the US aggression coalition responsible for the consequences of escalation in defense of the Zionist entity , seeking to expand tension in the region and threaten the safety of navigation in the Red Sea.
The Commission reviewed the report of the Council’s Constitutional, Legal and Judicial Committee, presented by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kabsi, on the mechanism to confront the challenges facing Yemen and ways to mobilize society to face them in light of the US enemy’s attempt to impose them on the Yemenis economically, politically and militarily.
The Commission approved the report while accommodating the comments made on it, stressing the need for concerted efforts at all levels and intensifying media and advisory campaigns to expose the enemy’s plans and conspiracies by moving its tools, as happened recently in the so-called “Parties Bloc Conference”, which it uses as a platform to target Yemen and its resources.
The Commission reviewed , approved the report of the community committee and the field activity of the council members for the month of Rabi’ al-Thani, 1446 AH, which amounted to 571 activities in cultural aspects, community initiatives, solving community issues, and media activity.
It praised the community , field activity of the council members and urged them to intensify community activity during this stage that the country is going through to mobilize enthusiasm, expose the enemy’s plans, support the heroes of the armed forces, fortify the home front, support the fronts with money and men.
The Commission discussed the ongoing preparations to hold a martyr anniversary event at the Council and approved the general program for the event. It also discussed and approved the Secretariat’s proposal on training programs to raise the capabilities of Council members for the year 1446 AH.
The meeting reviewed the memorandum of the Republic Presidency on the recommendations of the symposium on the dangers of cybercrime on Yemeni society held at the Council last July, and assigned the competent committee to follow up the implementation of the outputs of the symposium with the relevant authorities.
The Commission reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
