At the ceremony, which was organized by the Rawahil Foundation for Development in partnership and coordination with the Social Affairs and Labor Office and the Art Makers Initiative, and coordination, the Undersecretary of the Governorate for Services Affairs, Mohammed Halisi, praised the role of volunteers in the charitable and humanitarian field.
He noted that volunteer work is a human value stemming from the Islamic religion and the customs of Yemeni society, calling on young people to participate in volunteer work, especially in light of the ongoing aggression and its unjust siege.
Meanwhile, the head of the Rawahil Foundation, Laila Othman, reviewed the charitable and humanitarian activities and programs implemented by the foundation during the year 1446 AH, explaining that the goal of celebrating the International Volunteer Day is to spread the culture of volunteering and praise the efforts of volunteers.
At the end of the event, in the presence of leaders in the local authority and representatives of civil society organizations, 119 volunteers were honored with certificates of appreciation.
