During the past month of Jumada al-Ula of the year 1446 AH, Amran Governorate Police achieved distinguished security achievements in controlling and reducing crime.
A statistic issued by the governorate police stated that during the past month of Jumada al-Ula, many different crimes were seized, and defendants were charged with those crimes.
The statistic indicated that the criminal offenses seized during the same period were distributed between serious and non-serious crimes. During the past month of Jumada al-Ula, the Anti-Narcotics Department in the governorate seized 836 grams of narcotic substances, 15,800 narcotic pills of the “Captagon” type, and another quantity of narcotic substances.
In the field of combating smuggling, the governorate police seized during the same period a quantity of various medicines and prohibited and smuggled agricultural fertilizers.
In the field of illegal immigration, Amran Police seized 262 illegal immigrants during the same period, all of whom hold African nationalities.
During the mentioned period, the traffic police in the governorate recorded 32 traffic accidents, which included collisions and run-overs, resulting in the death of 4 people and the injury of 45 others, while the material losses amounted to about 12 million and 500 thousand Yemeni riyals.
