The hours of power outages have increased in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Transitional Council in southern Yemen.
Sources said that the hours of power outages have increased to eight hours compared to two hours of operation ,adding that the Petro Masila station has gone out of service due to a fuel shortage, as well as most of the diesel-powered generating stations.
They noted that oil derivatives traders have refused to provide the Electricity Corporation with any emergency quantities of diesel to restart the stations, as a result of the accumulation of debts and the procrastination of the Bin Mubarak government in paying them.
