Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, commented on Sunday on the downing of a US fighter jet over the Red Sea.
Al-Houthi stated that “the US Central Command will likely not disclose the true reason for the downing, possibly as a tactic to prevent further demoralization of soldiers and avoid increased pressure from naval personnel’s families.”
The US Central Command had previously acknowledged the downing of the advanced F-18 fighter jet over the Red Sea following an attack on Sanaa.
Many have expressed skepticism about the US narrative, which claimed that the aircraft was downed by friendly fire.
