Armed clashes erupted south of the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa governorate, which is under the control of the Emirati militias, leaving wounded.
Informed sources in the governorate reported that the clashes erupted yesterday in the Al-Saeed directorate between gunmen from the Al-Yaslam bin Dahha tribe, in the middle of the directorate’s market, resulting in the injury of Lasour Al-Madhaji.
They explained that the Emirati militias present in the area did not pay any attention to the clashes, amid accusations against the militia leaders of fueling conflicts between the tribesmen.
This comes after tribal clashes erupted in the center of the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate, between armed tribesmen last week between the Al-Jazea and Al-Marfad Al-Maraziq tribes near the Traffic Department, resulting in the injury of the son of the Traffic Director, Hussein Shaniter.
In addition, the occupied city of Aden witnessed new protests by fishermen yesterday.
The Fishermen’s Association of Sira Gulf expressed its rejection of the decision of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Aden Governorate, which stipulates imposing new fees of 1% of the total production of each fisherman, stressing that this step is a clear violation of Law No. (2) of 2006 AD regulating the fishing, exploitation and protection of aquatic life.
The association explained that the Director General of Sira Directorate directed the Crater Police to implement the decision by force, giving the fishermen a deadline until December 10 to reach a settlement with the Fund, warning the police affiliated with the Transitional Militia that force will be used to impose fees if an agreement is not reached.
In the same context, last week recorded an increase in the number of violations carried out by the occupation tools in the occupied governorates, during the period from December 1 to 7, 2024 AD, which included human rights violations, repressive practices, arbitrary arrests, physical assaults, and economic and service discrimination, which caused a state of anxiety, fear and instability in the occupied areas.
The total number of violations reached 16 cases, including 3 cases of arrest and kidnapping, and armed attacks and confrontations also reached 3 cases, while violations of political and social repression recorded 2 cases of violations, while violations related to the deterioration of services and living conditions reached 3 cases of violations, and the reports monitored cases of violations through the imposition of taxes and levies, and others.
