Five Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a satellite broadcast vehicle in front of Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media.
The five martyrs are Fadi Hassouna, whose job is “editor,” Mohammed Al-Lad’a, “editor,” journalist Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan, journalist Ayman Al-Jadi, and follow-up officer Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali.
The Palestinian Center for the Protection of Journalists announced earlier that six journalists were killed in less than a month as a result of the airstrikes launched by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip.
The Center for the Protection of Journalists explained in a statement that the Israeli occupation army has continued to target journalists and their families with deadly attacks since the beginning of the war, stressing that these violations represent a dangerous escalation against journalists practicing their professional work.
The center called on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to open an urgent investigation into the crimes committed against journalists in Gaza, and to prosecute the perpetrators of these violations before the international judiciary.
