The Undersecretary of Taiz Province for Development Affairs, Abdulwase Al-Shamsi, inaugurated on Tuesday the distribution of 5,000 bags of cement for the second phase to the districts of Shar’ab Al-Salam, Shar’ab Al-Rouna and Heifan to support community initiative projects in the field of roads, in coordination with the local authority in the province.
At the launch, through the Central Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration, in coordination with the local authority in the province , the Department of Community and Rural Initiatives, the deputy governor pointed out that the support comes in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader to activate and stimulate community initiatives in the districts.
He explained that the support aims to enhance community development efforts and meet the needs of service projects, which contributes to improving infrastructure and basic services in the province. He praised the effective role of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in supporting community initiative projects and motivating the local community to adopt projects that meet their basic needs.
The Director General of Community Initiatives, Mustafa Bahjar, and the coordinator of the Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Taiz and Lahj provinces, Badr Al-Tayyar, said that the second installment targets community initiatives projects in the field of roads in the targeted directorates, and that this installment will be followed by several installments of cement, gasoline, diesel, and available resources.
They stressed that the Interventions Unit continues to provide support and backing for community initiatives projects in various directorates, and that this batch will be followed by several batches of cement, gasoline, diesel and available resources to support community initiatives in various directorates, especially under the current circumstances.
