The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sana’a, Jamal Amer, on Sunday called on the United Nations Mission to support Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) to monitor the military escalation and mobilization by the other party, referring to the Saudi-led coalition.

This came during his meeting in Sana’a with the head of the UNMHA, General Michael Peary, and his deputy, Maria Yamashita.

The foreign minister stressed that any action taken by Sana’a is purely self-defense, and the government’s top directives are not to initiate any military action but to exercise caution, vigilance, and self-defense.

For his part, General Michael Peary stated that the mission is dedicated to its mandate and geographical scope as outlined in the Stockholm Agreement and appreciates the support it receives from the government
