UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the Israeli airstrikes on Sana’a International Airport, the Red Sea ports and power stations in Yemen are especially alarming.
He pointed out that these Israeli airstrikes on the Red Sea ports and Sana’a airport pose serious risks to Yemen’s vital supplies.
The UN Secretary-General also noted that one member of the UN humanitarian air transport team was injured when Sana’a airport was bombed.
I regret the recent escalation between Yemen and Israel, and remain deeply concerned about the risk of further escalation in the region.
