Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris stressed that the occupying Zionist entity will not be able to silence his country for criticizing its attacks on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
In statements to reporters, Harris described Israel’s decision to close its embassy in Dublin as “diversionary diplomacy.”
He said: “Do you know what should be condemned in my opinion? The killing of children, the horror of civilian deaths in Gaza, leaving people facing hunger and the lack of humanitarian aid, I think these things should be condemned.”
He continued: “You are all asking about Ireland’s position. But what about Israel’s practices? What about the practices committed by Netanyahu against innocent children in Gaza? This is a diplomacy of destruction.”
Harris stressed that Israel’s decision to close its embassy was “very unfortunate, and he would have preferred that it not have happened.” On Sunday, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced the closure of Tel Aviv’s embassy in Ireland against the backdrop of what he called its “anti-Israel policy.”
