The Israeli occupation expanded its areas of control in southern Syria on Monday, with its forces reaching the outskirts of the capital Damascus.

Israeli occupation aircraft launched dozens of raids in the last few hours on the city of Daraa, located between the city of Sweida and Quneitra on the Syrian border.

Western media sources reported that the Israeli raids targeted sites and areas where armed factions loyal to Turkey and other regional players are stationed.

The raids aimed to pave the way for “Druze” factions that already control the Sweida region.

The sources explained that the Israeli goal is to create a belt extending from Sweida, west of Damascus, to its east, so that these areas are subject to the control of the Druze factions that are already fighting in the ranks of the Israeli army, in addition to the occupation’s supervision of them through a joint operations room that will be established in Mount Hermon, which the Israeli army occupied in the past few hours.

By controlling these areas, the Israeli occupation has swallowed up nearly a quarter of the area of Syria and surrounded the Syrian capital, Damascus, from several directions.

The head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, arrived at the Syrian border, where he officially declared victory and showed the extent of his participation in the fall of Damascus by targeting Iran and Hezbollah. He also praised the Druze sect and expressed his desire to embrace the rest of the Christian and Islamic factions.
