Sounds of explosions continued to be heard on Tuesday morning, with Syrian media reporting more Israeli raids in Damascus Countryside.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military incursion into southern Syria has reached about 25 kilometers (16 miles) southwest of the capital Damascus, two regional security sources and one Syrian security source said.
The Syrian security source says Israeli occupation forces reached Qatana, which is 10 kilometers (6 miles) into Syrian territory, east of the buffer zone.
Tuesday’s strikes followed a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said in a press conference on Monday that the illegally occupied Golan Heights will “forever be an inseparable part” of the Zionist entity.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli enemy occupied Jabal Al-Sheikh (Mount Hermon) near the Golan Heights. The aggression came following the fall of President Bashar Al-Assad’s government after armed opposition, led by Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham, entered the capital Damascus early on Sunday.
