Ukraine has postponed signing a mineral resources cooperation agreement with the United States until the inauguration of Donald Trump, according to American media outlets quoting unnamed sources.
Press reports confirm that Ukrainian officials are doing their utmost to appease Trump and strengthen their position in the conflict with Russia.
According to reports, Ukrainian authorities have twice postponed signing a mineral resources cooperation agreement, which they were planning to sign with the administration of US President Joe Biden.
Press reports said that Ukrainian officials and businessmen are trying to exploit Trump’s “transactional approach” by claiming that Ukraine is rich in natural resources that can support American industry, including minerals such as cobalt, graphite and lithium.
Donald Trump, who served as President of the United States from 2017 to 2021, won the presidential election on November 5 and became the first American politician since the 19th century to return to the White House after a four-year hiatus.
