The Mayor of the capital, Dr. Hamoud Obbad, and the First Undersecretary of the Sana’a capital, Khaled Al-Madani, launched today a campaign to remove violations, slums, and distorted manifestations in all districts of the capital.
The campaign lasts for a week and is implemented by the Works Office and its branches in the directorates, in cooperation with the cleaning and traffic offices, and aims to remove concrete blocks, damaged cars, and unnecessary bumps, and clean streets and markets from distortions.
The Mayor of the Capital stressed the importance of the campaign in improving the general appearance of the capital, and facilitating traffic, stressing the promotion of community awareness to preserve the beauty of the city, stressing that strict legal measures will be taken against violators.
Director of the Works Office Engineer Abdul Salam Al-Jaradi explained that the campaign was equipped with 50 mechanisms to remove violations, with plans to remove distortions from public markets in cooperation with the security services during the next phase.
The Mayor of the Capital was also briefed on the maintenance and restoration of potholes at the entrance to the Anqad market with community efforts, in addition to the asphalt repairs in the yard of the Secretariat Office, which is implemented by the Executive Unit for Road Maintenance.
