The Yemeni Ministry of Information and its affiliated institutions mourn the passing of Abdullah Hussein Jaber Al-Sheikh, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Thawra Foundation for Press, Printing, and Publishing for Financial Affairs and Human Resources. He died at the age of 64 after a long and dedicated career in the service of Yemeni media.
In its statement, the ministry praised the deceased’s virtues, noting that he held several leadership positions throughout his career. These included serving as the external transport officer at Yemen TV, the Director General of Technical Affairs at the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), and the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Financial and Commercial Affairs, before assuming his role as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Thawra Foundation.
The statement emphasized that the late Al-Sheikh was one of the pioneers of media in Yemen, known for his unwavering dedication to both his profession and his country. He devoted his life to serving Yemen and defending its causes. Al-Sheikh was also active in the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate and the Yemeni Media Union and stood out for his strong national stances against the aggression on Yemen.
