Security agencies in the capital, Sana’a, on Wednesday revealed more details about the arrest of a new spy cell and the thwarting of intelligence activities by the CIA (U.S. Central Intelligence Agency) and the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad).
The security agencies explained to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that, with the help of God and the support of the country’s honorable citizens, they were able, over the past few days, to arrest a number of spies who had been recruited by the wanted spy, Hamid Hussein Fayed Majli.
After their recruitment, these individuals were assigned various intelligence tasks, the most significant of which included monitoring and identifying the locations of the missile force, drone operations, naval forces, and other military sites. They also tracked and identified the locations of revolutionary, political, military, and security leaders, as well as social figures opposed to the Israeli and American enemies in the Yemeni Republic, working on behalf of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and the Israeli Intelligence Agency.
The statement highlighted that among their espionage activities was providing coordinates and information on all movements to the Mossad, which would then relay this information to American, Israeli, and British enemy aircraft for targeting. Additionally, they attempted to infiltrate and recruit spies within the ranks of the armed forces and security services.
The security services reiterated their commitment to securing the internal front from any attempts at penetration by the American and Israeli enemies, warning of the dangers of working for American and Israeli intelligence agencies.
They expressed gratitude to the honorable citizens for their cooperation with the security forces in protecting the security of the homeland, urging everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements or activities.
