The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities kill a child every hour in the Gaza Strip, according to a statement issued on Tuesday.
UNRWA said that there is no place for children, as 14,500 children have been reported killed in Gaza since the beginning of the war, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
It continued: “A child is killed every hour, these are not just numbers, these are lives cut short.”
UNRWA confirmed that there is no justification for killing children in the Gaza Strip, and that all children who survived “were physically and psychologically scarred.”
It pointed out that children are deprived of education, as “boys and girls in Gaza spend their time searching through the rubble.”
It warned, saying: “Time is running out quickly for these children, they are losing their lives, their future and most of their hopes.”
