The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold to very cold weather in several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center Saturday, the center said that cold to very cold weather is expected in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda, with the possibility of frost forming in scattered areas.
Meanwhile, cold weather is expected in the highlands of the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, and relatively cold weather in desert areas.
It warned against exposure to cold weather in the mountainous areas, urging citizens to take necessary precautions, especially for children, school students, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours.
The National Center for Meteorology also urged farmers to take precautions and follow agricultural guidelines to protect their crops from the effects of the severe cold, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers, and poultry farmers.
