Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, on Saturday met with Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah, discussing the ministry’s activities and priorities for the upcoming period.
The meeting addressed the ministry’s plan, which was developed to align with the government’s general program, particularly in the judicial field.
During the meeting, the Minister of Justice and Human Rights highlighted the key priorities, including automating the work of the courts to facilitate monitoring and assessment processes, improve performance standards, and speed up the resolution of cases.
He also pointed out the current situation of the Higher Judicial Institute and the urgent needs to improve and enhance its outputs by qualifying judicial, academic, and practical personnel.
Additionally, the minister discussed the current state of prisons and the ministry’s efforts to improve conditions and its role in rehabilitation, alongside addressing the basic needs of inmates.
Prime Minister Al-Rahwi emphasized the vital role of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in addressing institutional imbalances, enhancing the performance of local authority personnel, improving the judicial infrastructure, and strengthening the independence of the judiciary.
He also expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and its staff for their efforts to improve the ministry’s performance and its effectiveness in fulfilling its responsibilities.
