The branch of the Yemeni Medicine Bank opened on Thursday in Dhamar city, inaugurating an emergency distribution project and a free medical camp for diabetic patients.
Through the emergency drug distribution project in coordination with the Dhamar Foundation for Charitable Works and Dadeh Trading Group, the branch aims to alleviate the suffering of patients and provide their needs for medicines for chronic diseases.
The free medical camp for diabetic patients, held in coordination with Dr. Muhammad Al-Musli Hospital, aims to examine , examine diabetic patients and dispense medicines to them over three days.
For their part, the Director of Dhamar District, Mohammed Al-Saikal, and the Director of the Social Affairs Office in the province, Khaled Al-Maqdashi, appreciated these humanitarian efforts, which come under difficult circumstances, and emphasized the importance of supporting the Bank’s efforts and sponsoring its activities.
For his part, the Executive Director of the Yemeni Medicine Bank, Ibrahim Al-Shaabi, pointed out that the process of dispensing medicines is carried out according to a mechanism that guarantees the delivery of medicine every month to eligible cases suffering from chronic diseases such as heart disease, pressure, diabetes and psychological conditions.
He explained that during the next phase, the drug bank will implement camps to conduct free surgeries, awareness-raising and health education activities, in addition to seasonal emergency projects and distribution of medicines.
