The Yemeni Media Union (YMU) condemned the Zionist enemy’s targeting of the Palestinian journalist Iman Al-Shanti, who works as a broadcaster at the local Sawt Al-Aqsa radio station, along with her husband and three children, by bombing a residential building in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City, which led to their martyrdom.
In a statement that the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of it, the Union condemned the continued bloodshed in Gaza Strip with the brutality and aggression of the Zionist arrogance that targets humanity and seeks to silence the voice of truth, through its direct targeting of dozens of journalists and media professionals, as the number of Palestinian journalists martyred as a result of the Zionist aggression on Gaza Strip rose to 193 martyrs.
The Union condemned the global, international and Arab silence on all these heinous crimes, as the aggression crimes against media professionals and journalists recorded 400 violations, in addition to the arrest of 40 others, while the enemy forces destroyed most of the headquarters of local and international institutions operating in the Strip, and forced all local radio stations to close due to displacement and the lack of the essentials of journalistic work, especially electricity and the Internet.
The Union called on all human rights organizations and media institutions, and all free and honorable people in various countries of the world to expose the Zionist aggression machine, and to proceed with more effective actions to stop this unprecedented humanitarian tragedy in contemporary history.
