The 25-member crew of the Galaxy Leader ship left Sana’a International Airport today on a flight operated by the Sultanate of Oman.

Before their departure, a joint press conference was held at the airport between the Yemeni government and representatives of Palestinian factions.

During a joint press conference held today at the airport, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, emphasized Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine, stating that the country will continue to stand by its Palestinian brothers, regardless of external pressures.

Al-Ruwaishan reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to this path, stating: “We affirm that Yemen has faced numerous attempts and pressures, but it has only responded when the aggression against Gaza ceased.”

The Deputy Prime Minister hailed the victory achieved in Gaza as a significant triumph, noting that the resilience shown by the fighters in Gaza has proven that true strength is measured by different standards.

He extended his gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for its efforts in mediating the release of the Galaxy Leader crew, urging those released to convey the true image of Yemen to their people.

Al-Ruwaishan further emphasized Yemen’s vigilance regarding the situation, affirming that if the Israeli enemy fails to adhere to the signed agreements, Yemen is closely monitoring and observing developments.

In conclusion, Al-Ruwaishan reiterated Yemen’s firm and consistent position in support of Palestine, stating that the country’s stance will remain unchanged, as confirmed in the presence of representatives from Palestinian factions.

For his part, Hamas representative in Yemen, Moath Abu Shamala, confirmed that there is ongoing coordination between Yemen and the Palestinian factions on various issues, and the release of the crew of the Galaxy Leader ship is an example of this coordination.

Abu Shamala said: “Today, in Sana’a, we are witnessing a picture of Palestinian victory in the face of the war of extermination that the Gaza Strip was subjected to.”

“We thank Yemen for its efforts to support the Gaza Strip and the Sultanate of Oman for its mediation in the case of the Galaxy Leader detainees”, he added.
