At least eight people were killed and 16 others were injured on Wednesday in a horrific traffic accident in Hodeidah Governorate.
The Traffic Police in the Province reported that a “Hilux” vehicle overturned in the Al-Mantasha area of Jabal Ras District, resulting in the death of eight people and the injury of 16 others who were on board.
According to the Security Media Center, initial investigations suggest that the accident was caused by a technical malfunction due to neglect of maintenance, in addition to overloading.
The Traffic Police urged drivers to adhere to traffic rules, perform regular vehicle maintenance, and avoid excessive speed to ensure their own safety and that of other road users.
