A Bombing Targets A Leader In The STC Militia in Lahj & Popular Demonstrations in Al Mahrah

A leader in the Transitional Militia loyal to the UAE was subjected to an assassination attempt in Lahj Governorate.

Local sources said that an explosive device exploded in a vehicle belonging to the leader of the so-called Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade affiliated with the Transitional Militia, Nasr Naji Al-Yafei, while he was standing in front of his house in the Al-Hamra area in the center of the governorate.

The sources indicated that the explosion did not result in any human casualties, but it caused damage to the military vehicle.

It is not yet known who is responsible for the explosion, or whether it is related to the ongoing conflicts between the militias loyal to the Saudi and Emirati occupation.

Hundreds of people from the districts of Sayhut and Al-Masilah in Al-Mahrah Governorate organized a mass demonstration organized by the Peaceful Sit-in Committee, celebrating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and rejecting the establishment of the “Homeland Shield” militia and the looting of the governorate’s wealth.

Sheikh Salem Saad Ghatouri Al-Zuwaidi, head of the Peaceful Sit-in Committee in Sayhut and Al-Masilah, denounced the crimes committed by the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian people, stressing the continuation of support for the Palestinians in their just struggle.

Al-Zuwaidi stressed that the situation in Al-Mahrah and Yemen faces challenges similar to what is happening in Palestine, calling for unifying ranks to confront these common challenges.

Al-Zuwaidi criticized calls to establish the “Homeland Shield” militia outside the framework of the state, stressing that Al-Mahrah does not need these forces..

And that it calls for supporting the official security services of the state only.

In his speech, Sultan Saad bin Abdullah Al Afrar stressed the importance of adhering to the Mahri identity and national unity, calling on the people of Mahra to reject projects that aim to divide the country and preserve the sovereignty of Mahra.

The statement of the Sayhut and Al Masila event called on all free people of Mahra to reject the militias of the governorate and spare it sedition and conflicts, stressing the importance of standing as one behind the peaceful sit-in committee to thwart external plans that aim to plunder the mineral and other wealth of Mahra.
