Civil Defense Puts Out A Fire In A Juice And Dairy Factory in Dhamar

Yesterday afternoon, the fire brigades of the Civil Defense Department in Dhamar Governorate were able to extinguish a huge fire that broke out in the yard of the Ikhwan Thabet Factory for Juices and Dairy Products.

Major Harith Obeya, Assistant Director of the Fire Branch in Dhamar, stated to “Al-Thawra” that a huge fire broke out in the factory yard due to an electrical short circuit that led to the burning of the factory’s waste, indicating that the Civil Defense teams rushed to the factory located on the outskirts of Dhamar city upon receiving the report and worked to extinguish the fire that caused the burning of a number of waste thrown in the factory yard.

He pointed out that the fire brigades were able to control the fire before it spread to the warehouses, indicating that the availability of safety tools in the factory contributed to limiting the damage.

For his part, the Director of the Ikhwan Thabet Factory for Juices and Dairy Products, Naji Taj Al-Din, stated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit that led to the burning of the factory’s waste, noting that there were no casualties among the workers and the losses were limited only to the waste thrown in the factory yard,praising the efforts of the Civil Defense teams in controlling the fire.
