Demonstrators in Italy expressed their solidarity with Palestinian people against the practices of the Zionist entity to which they are subjected, especially the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
This came in a demonstration in the capital Rome, and another in the city of Milan, denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the West Bank.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered in “Vittorio Emanuele” Square in central Rome, carrying Palestinian flags and banners calling for “erasing genocides from history”.
The demonstrators set out on a march towards “Fori Imperiali” Street, chanting slogans against the “Israeli” attacks on Gaza and others expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, such as “Free Palestine” and “Israel is a fascist and terrorist state”.
In statements to reporters, the head of the Palestinian community in Rome, Youssef Salman, said that the ceasefire and the cessation of bombing are a positive step, pointing out the absence of any political solution to the crisis.
In Milan, a similar march was launched in support of Palestine, where participants stressed that the ceasefire in Gaza does not cancel the crimes committed by the occupation there.
