Dozens of angry demonstrators blocked the main road in Lahj at the entrance to the Al-Wahtah-Sabr area, denouncing on the rapid deterioration in living conditions and the collapse of the poor level of services, in light of the interruption of employees’ salaries for the fourth consecutive month.
The protesters set fire to damaged tires in the middle of the roads and blocked them with stones to express their anger without any humanitarian reforms being carried out by the mercenary government in Aden.
These protests coincide with the escalation of popular unrest against the aggression coalition and Aden government in many southern regions.
The collapse of the local currency and the power outage, in addition to the delay in paying salaries since last October have led to an increase in discontent and escalation amid a state of widespread local tension that threatens to expand the scope of popular anger during the coming week.
