The Foreign Minister in Sana’a, Jamal Ahmed Amer, met on Monday with the Country Director of the Direct Aid Society of Kuwait, Ali Batbat.
During the meeting, the minister received a brief report on the organization’s activities and projects in Yemen, focusing on economic empowerment, water, environmental sanitation, and education across several provinces.
The minister praised the society’s efforts and development initiatives, highlighting how they address community needs. He also noted that its funding is independent and unaffected by political pressures, such as those exerted by some donor countries, including the United States.
For his part, Batbat explained that the organization has been operating in Yemen since 2012, implementing sustainable development projects. He pointed out that many individuals benefiting from economic empowerment programs have gone on to become entrepreneurs and active producers.
