Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem confirmed on Sunday that the Zionist enemy’s prevention of the return of the displaced to northern Gaza is a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement concluded on the 19th of this month.
Qassem said in a press statement: The occupation army is delaying the opening of the checkpoints for the return of the displaced to their places of residence, despite the movement sending confirmation that the detainee “Arbil Yehud” is alive.
He called on mediators to pressure the occupation entity and force it to allow the return of the displaced saying: “There are direct contacts with mediators to find a solution and open the Netzarim axis.”
In another context, Qassem described the statements of US President Donald Trump regarding pressuring Egypt and Jordan to receive more people from Gaza as dangerous and consistent with the positions of the extreme Zionist right.
Yesterday, the head of the Zionist enemy government, Benjamin Netanyahu, violated one of the conditions of the truce agreement, related to the return of the displaced from the center and south of the Strip to Gaza and the north.
Netanyahu’s office said: “We will not allow the return of Gaza residents to the northern areas until the release of the captive Arbel Yehud is arranged.”
