The head of the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ Affairs, Qadoura Fares, said that the prisoner exchange deal has reached a point of no return, indicating that the news is promising and reassuring.

In press statements Tuesday, Qadoura said that the prisoners will be released in batches, not all on the same day.

He explained that the current optimism about the deal is objective, not emotional, and pointed out that the deal will take place, and Netanyahu will not be able to sabotage it this time.

Qadoura Fares explained that the commission’s teams have worked throughout the past period to prepare files on Palestinian prisoners.

Earlier today, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that there are still unresolved details between the negotiating parties concerning the mechanisms for implementing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry stated in a press conference today, Tuesday, that talks are ongoing regarding the final details.

It  added, “When we announce the agreement, it will be followed by the start of the ceasefire implementation. We are now at the point closest to reaching an agreement on Gaza, and we expect the announcement of the agreement soon.”

The ministry emphasized that the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement will occur shortly after it is reached, noting that the mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and the United States are committed to all actions that will ensure the success of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
