The occupied city of Aden witnessed a widespread strike of shops yesterday, Tuesday, due to the economic and living chaos resulting from the continued collapse of the local currency, coinciding with a massive demonstration witnessed by the parade square in Aden, denouncing the economic collapse.
Local sources in the governorate said that many shops closed their doors in the city of Aden, due to the collapse of the local currency and the rise in food prices.
The commercial strike also coincided with widespread popular protests against the government of the mercenary “Ahmed bin Mubarak”, denouncing the collapse of living conditions and the deterioration of services.
Yesterday, thousands of citizens flocked to the parade square in Khormaksar to participate in the protests demanding the payment of salaries and stopping the rapid collapse of the Yemeni riyal.
During the protest demonstration, the participants denounced the war of starvation and the lack of services carried out by the occupation against citizens in Aden and the rest of the southern governorates.
They demanded the provision of fuel for the power stations, which have been out of service for more than 20 hours a day.

The people of the Makhzan area in Khanfar District went out in protests denouncing the power outage, deteriorating conditions and lack of services.
The protesters proceeded to block the main road in the area and prevented vehicles from passing, holding Bin Mubarak’s government responsible for the collapse of conditions in the governorate.
This comes amid widespread popular discontent against the mercenary government in all areas under its control, while continuing to ignore the suffering of citizens.
