Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the Gaza Strip has successfully brought the US-backed Israeli regime to its knees, showcasing the strength of resistance against colonial forces.
During a meeting with Iranian officials and Muslim ambassadors in Tehran to commemorate Eid al-Mab’ath on Tuesday, Khamenei characterized the United States as a symbol of colonialism and arrogance in today’s geopolitical landscape. He asserted that the US government is heavily influenced by dominant global financial powers, which aim to exploit and undermine other nations for their own gain.
“The US embodies the very essence of colonialism,” Khamenei declared, warning that these “bullying and evil powers” are eyeing the natural resources, culture, and identity of oppressed nations. “They are intent on plundering our lands,” he continued, referencing the pervasive influence of financial cartels in shaping Western policies.
The Leader highlighted the role of resistance movements, noting how the spirit of defiance that began in Iran has emboldened many across the Muslim world and even resonated with non-Muslims. He commended the recent developments in Gaza, where, despite being heavily armed and supported by the US, the Israeli regime has faced significant setbacks.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader said friends and foes thought that the martyrdom of the Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, had eliminated Lebanon’s resistance movement.
However, he added, “Hezbollah showed that not only was it not terminated, but it was further inspired to stand up to the Zionist regime.”
